Alexis Martinez closed out the 2025 season for SLIAC women's cross country by leading all conference runners this weekend in the regional meets.
Martinez, a freshman at Greenville University, placed 70th at the Midwest Regional held in Waverly, Iowa. She finished with a time of 24:04 and helped Greenville finish 19th out of 30 teams in the meet.
Lyon College finished 29th at the same regional with Brooklyn Collins leading the way. The Scot finished with a time of 25:35, placing 136th overall.
Webster University took 30th place at the regional with Violet Hill pacing the Gorloks with a time of 26:34, finishing 157th individually.
Also in action at the regional were runners from Blackburn College, Mary Ahrens (31:26); Eureka College, Zoe Stoecker (31:05); and Westminster College, Sadie Brandt (26:25).
Spalding University was in action at the Great Lakes Regional, which they hosted. A pair of Golden Eagles finished near each other with Bessie Kelley leading the way with her time of 27:03, placing 211th while Reganne Piercy finished 214th in a time of 27:08.
MUW competed at the South Regional in Roanoke, Va. and was led by Hannah Owens with a time of 26:15, placing 114th.
