The 2024 SLIAC Softball All-Conference awards include Natalee Moore and Hailey Kutz as its top honorees.
Moore, a sophomore at Greenville University, was the hardest batter to get out this season; hitting a league leading .533 in her 16 SLIAC games. She hit 2 home runs and drove in 22 runs while scoring 9 times on her own. She had 24 hits and finished with a .579 on-base percentage while slugging a league best .867 this season. She had 9 multiple hit and 7 multiple RBI games this season. She is the second consecutive Panther to win the award, following Mia Boyd last year.
Hailey Kutz was selected as the Pitcher of the Year. The junior at Fontbonne University was 7-1 in conference play, recording a 1.43 earned-run average and recorded 67 strikeouts in just 54 innings pitched. Kutz held opponents to a league low .191 batting average. Kutz is the first Griffin since Madi Leonard in 2016 to win the award.
In their first season the the SLIAC, Lyon College boasts the Newcomer of the Year; Olivia Orf. The freshman was second on the team with a .340 batting average during conference play, finishing with 17 hits including 4 doubles. She hit 3 home runs and drove in 12.
The last individual award is the Coach of the Year award which goes to Roni Knittig of Fontbonne University. Knittig guided the Griffins to the SLIAC regular season title with a 13-3 record. This is her first Coach of the Year award and the first time a Griffin coach has won the award since Bill Rosner in 2014.
This year's Team Sportsmanship award winner is Eureka College.
