Year in Review - RECORD BOOK

Although they had won four previous conference tournaments, Greenville accomplished a first in program history in 2025; winning a share of the program's first-ever regular season title. The Panthers would then add to their tournament titles with a 5th championship in back-to-back fashion. 

The season saw two standout pitching performances. On March 28 Shelby Koenig recorded a perfect game for Blackburn College. She struck out all 15 batters she faced in the win over Maranatha Baptist. One month later it was Greenville's Sarah Salas recording her own perfect game, doing so against the Beavers in the regular season finale. Salas struck out 17 batters int he win. 

Blackburn's Kenadee Frey was chosen as the Player of the Year, becoming Blackburn's first honoree since 2011. Melissa Bernal, from Greenville, was selected as the Pitcher of the Year while Paige Cruzan, from Westminster College, was named the Freshman of the Year and Spalding's Art Williams was the Coach of the Year after leading the Golden Eagles to a share of the regular season title. Spalding players Riley Wilkins and Grayce Marcum were named NFCA All-Region to head up the list of award winners. 

On May 2, the Golden Eagles were off and running, swiping 15 bases in the game; tied for second most in conference history. That game saw Grayce Marcum take five of the bags, tying the conference record. Marcum wrapped up her career with a few mentions in the SLIAC record books. She finished with 225 career hits, 5th most; 164 runs, 4th most; 166 RBI, 4th most; 22 home runs, 9th most; 45 doubles, 9th most; 30 triples, all-time leader; 396 total bases, 2nd most; and 73 stolen bases, 8th most. 

Other records of note during the season include Greenville's Natalee Moore capping her career with a .444 average, 8th best; and a .505 on-base percentage, 8th best. Teammate Melissa Bernal also concluded her career with six saves, second most in conference history.
