The first year of SLIAC Women's Wrestling has wrapped up and Mckenzie Cook and Jadine Mata cap the year off by taking the top individual All-Conference honors. 

Cook, a junior from Eureka College, was selected by coaches as the SLIAC Women's Wrestler of the Year. She picked up a title at the SLIAC Championships, winning the 143 pound weight class. She was 2-0 with two pin falls at the championships. She is 22-9 this season overall with 13 pin falls.

The Newcomer of the Year is Jadine Mata, from Schreiner University. After injuries limited her for most of the season the freshman shined last weekend in the championships, winning both of her matches by pin fall to claim the 170 pound title. 

The SLIAC Women's Wrestling Coaching Staff of the Year goes to Schreiner University and head coach Tarkyia Mensah,who led the Mountaineers to a SLIAC Championship.

The Team Sportsmanship award was given to Fontbonne University.
