YEAR IN REVIEW - RECORD BOOK

Schreiner University stacked wins in the 2025-26 season, setting a conference record for most individual wins (338) and most pins (169). The Mountaineers would go on to capture their third consecutive conference championship, capturing seven individual titles.

Leading the way for the Mountaineers was SLIAC Wrestler of the Year Jania Dunigan. The sophoore finished 48-9 with 21 pins and four titles at her 131 pound weight class. She set the conference single season record for wins and totaled the second most pins in a season. After just two years she already ranks as the conference's career leader in wins and pins. 

In their first year in the league, Huntingdon College placed second at the conference championship with 108.5 points with three individual titles. Aniyah Griffin led the team with 31 wins, becoming just the 6th wrestler in conference history reach reach 30 wins in a season.

SLIAC wrestlers found success in the classroom as well with 15 student-athletes earning Scholar All-America honors from the NWCA: Aniyah Baker, Caden Collett, Jordan Epstein, Shelby Fugate, Nomaneta Iopu, Chloe Parets, Tristin Robinson, Alli Smith, Ema Stephenson, Alexis Schmotzer, Mia Brown, Emma Coyle, Janel Golderos, Jacey Kuntz, and Jackelyn Scanchez.
