YEAR IN REVIEW - RECORD BOOK
It was another double sweep for Greenville University's men's track and field program, taking home both the indoor and outdoor championships. Greenville has now won seven straight indoor championship and nine consecutive outdoor titles.
Fans saw Keenan Powell's name on a near weekly basis though out the indoor and outdoor season. The freshman earned All-America honors in both the indoor and outdoor triple jump, setting the conference record along the way.
Three other athletes from the conference qualified for the outdoor nationals. Greenville's Neko Gibson and Ty Kellum both participated in the 100 meter dash as did Webster's Dylan Patterson.
Cortland Early, from MUW, set the indoor 60-meter hurdles record while Webster's Mark Govero set the indoor mark in the pole vault. Malachi Morgan was named the Indoor Field Athlete of the Year while Chad Dahl, from Spalding University, was the Indoor Track Athlete of the Year.
Outdoor records that fell in 2026 were the 100-meter dash by Greenville's Ty Kellum and the 400-meter hurdles by Principia's Nana Koranteng. Eric Mitchell, from Greenville, was selected as the Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year with Bailey Webster, from Eureka College, being named the Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year.
Leland Branstner became the first Beaver to win a gold medal in program history and took home the Outdoor Field Freshman of the Year while Eureka's Bailey Webster matched the program record with his five career outdoor medals.
