The 2025 season for the Webster University baseball team wrapped up this weekend but not before Karl Peters made his mark. Serving as host in this year's regional, Webster University opened the tournament with a 13-2 win over MSOE. The Gorloks had five home runs in the game including three from Karl Peters. Peters finished the game 4-for-6 at the plate with four runs batted in and 13 total bases.

The win pushed the Gorloks to Saturday's elimination round. They dropped their first game of the day, 9-2 to #22 ranked Belhaven. Webster jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to RBI hits from RJ LaRocco and Karl Peters. However Belhaven struck with one run in the sixth before opening the game up with five runs in the eighth and three more in the ninth.

The loss set up a re-match against MSOE in the day's final game. MSOE came out on top 4-2, knocking the Gorloks out of the tournament. MSOE grabbed a 2-0 lead in the fourth before Webster responded with a run in the fifth. Two more runs from the Raiders made the score 4-1 with the Gorloks pushing across their second run in the seventh on an RBI single from Evan Evola.

However the Gorloks would strand two runners in the seventh and two more in the ninth as they were unable to manufacture the tying runs. Webster ends the year with a 37-9 overall record.
