Eureka College announced its 2026 Hall of Fame class, which will be inducted during homecoming weekend this Saturday, September 19.
The class includes the 2019 Red Devil softball team. The program made history throughout its championship season, capturing the program's first-ever SLIAC regular season championship before winning the SLIAC Tournament title and advancing to the NCAA Division III Tournament for only the second time in program history and first time since 2002.
Led by head coach Debi Neff, the Red Devils finished the season 27-8 overall and 14-4 in conference play. Eureka's 2019 squad featured Sydney Shubert, Jodi Mahasi, Morgan Osborn, Alisyn Showalter, Raelyn Payne, Morgan Ledbetter, Faith Bachtold, Baylee Closs, Courtney Cutill, Klaire Wilmot, Gabby Wood, Allison Cagley, Adrianna Zeman, Sidney Wightman, and Erin Smith.
Six Red Devils earned SLIAC All-Conference recognition. Shubert was named First Team All-Conference and SLIAC Player of the Year, becoming the first Eureka player in program history to earn the conference's top individual honor. Ledbetter and Smith also earned First Team honors, while Osborn and Payne were named to the Second Team, and Zeman earned Third Team honors. Payne was also selected as the SLIAC Newcomer of the Year, marking another first in program history. Neff was named SLIAC Coach of the Year, while four Eureka players earned SLIAC All-Tournament Team honors.
Shubert led NCAA Division III with a .587 batting average and was crowned the national batting champion. Ledbetter led Division III in home runs per game (.49) and RBIs per game (1.66). As a team, Eureka claimed the NCAA Division III team batting title with a .402 batting average. Shubert and Ledbetter were both named 2019 Fastpitch News NCAA Division III First Team All-Americans.
Also going in is cross country runner Nathan Pritzker. Pritzker was a four-year member of the Eureka men's cross country and track programs from 2008-12 and excelled both athletically and academically. He was named the cross country team's MVP in 2009 and served as a team co-captain from fall 2009 through fall 2011. Pritzker recorded his career-best five-mile time of 31:36 in 2011.
