YEAR IN REVIEW - RECORD BOOK
In 2026 Greenville University became the first program to win three consecutive tournament championships multiple times in program history. The Panthers finished 31-13 overall, marking their third consecutive season with at least 30 wins. They ranked 19th in the nation with a .360 batting average and 11th in home runs while averaging 7.6 runs per game, 10th best.
Emma Longcor was the catalyst for the potent offense, finishing 11th in the nation with a .507 batting average; a mark that was 8th best in conference history while her 72 hits were just two short of tying the record for single season hits. Longcor was named the SLIAC Player of the Year, becoming the 5th Panther in program history to win the award.
She was not the only Panther to make headlines though as teammate Makenna Budde tied the conference record with a three-home run game, while also driving in eight and falling one short of the single game RBI mark.
Spalding's Carsyn Sidebottom was a threat anytime she reached base, swiping 36 bags; tied for 7th most in a single season.
The 2026 tournament saw the first time that the two lowest seeds both won their quarterfinal rounds, including #6 Blackburn's opening round win. Shelby Koenig shined in the circle for the Beavers, throwing a complete game shutout with 7 strikeouts. She finished her Beaver career with 322 strikeouts, putting her 10th in the SLIAC career strikeout list.
