Greenville will have a chance to defend their softball title as they face Spalding on Saturday, marking the second straight year the two teams will square off for the title.
#2 Spalding University defeated #6 Blackburn College, 10-9 (10 innings) BOX SCORE
- Spalding ended the game in the 10th inning with a Bianca Ward walk-off double
- Blackburn's biggest inning was the fourth, when they plated four runs on three hits and two errors
- Spalding responded with five runs of their own in the bottom half
- Blackburn tied the game in the top of the seventh on an Alexis Weber single
- The Beavers plated two runs in the top of the ninth before Spalding drew even in the bottom half
- The 10 inning game marks the longest game in tournament history

- Greenville claimed a spot into the championship game with a shutout win
- The Panthers scored all they would need with two runs in the bottom of the first when Makenna Budde doubled in two
- Greenville out hit Westminster 11-3 in the game
- Sarah Salas picked up the win for Greenville, going 7 innings and striking out 14

- Westminster held a 5-1 lead after plating four runs in the fourth inning, delivering six hits in the frame including three straight with two outs
- Spalding got back into the game with two runs in the bottom of the fourth, cutting the score 5-3
- The Golden Eagles grabbed the lead in the next inning with a five run frame with Emma Eaton delivering the game-tying single and Carsyn Sidebottom giving her team the lead
- Sidebottom and Eaton each had two hits for Spalding while Paige Cruzan and Gabriella Pierre each had two hits for Westminster
