Webster University rallied for a 10-5 victory in a winner-take-all championship game of the 2026 SLIAC Baseball Tournament. The Gorloks had to fend off the hot bats of Westminster College, which forced the second game of the day after the Blue Jays won the day's opening game 14-3.

The Blue Jays started the game with a 3-0 lead but saw Webster climb back into the game with a pair of runs of their own in the bottom of the third inning. The score remained unchanged until the bottom of the sixth when the Gorloks broke loose for six runs.

Ethan Wielt started the scoring in the frame with a solo home run that tied the game up. James Theodore followed with a home run of his own before a bases loaded walk and wild pitch brought in two more runs. Ryan Hartz shot the ball to the gap for a ground-rule double that plated two more and made the score 8-3.

The teams traded runs over the final three innings with the Blue Jays mounting one final comeback attempt in the top inning. One out back-to-back singles by Troy Romero and Braden Eye set the Blue Jays up with a Brett Montgomery single bringing in one run. However Gorlok pitcher was able to end the attempt by forcing the batter to roll over to first base for the final out.

Nick Wrubluski tallied three hits int he game with Carter picking up the win after throwing four innings of relief. Wrubluski was named the Tournament MVP and joined on the All-Tournament team by teammates Ethan Wielt and Wes Carter.

Westminster finished the tournament with a SLIAC tournament record 58 runs scored as Donovan Bohler and Cameron Schlegl represented the Blue Jays on the All-Tournament team. Also earning All-Tournament team honors were Joseph Guzman, from Greenville University; Ashton Compton, from Lyon College; Zach Johnson, from MUW; and Cameron Rayborn, from Spalding University.
