Greenville University's Keenan Powell capped off his first collegiate indoor track and field season with top honors, earning All-America status after his performance at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Powell, a freshman, is the sixth athlete in conference history to be named All-American and the second straight to do so in the triple jump.
Powell finished 3rd at this year's triple jump event, finishing with a mark of 48'10.75". He had five successful jumps, with his best coming on his fourth attempt of the day. This year's national champion was Carter Pearson, from Wisconsin-LaCrosse, who jumped 49'3" with Joshua Justin, from Rowan, jumping 48'11.75" for second place.
Powell set a conference record for indoor triple jump earlier this season with a mark of 49'1", nearly two feet farther than the previous record. He also set a SLIAC Indoor Championship record in the triple jump.
