2026 SLIAC MEN'S WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP PAGE
The 2026 SLIAC Men's Wrestling Championship will take place this Saturday, February 14th and will be hosted by Eureka College in Eureka, Illinois. The championship will include representatives from eight teams competing for individual title and the conference team championship. Each school will be allowed two wrestlers per weight class with the top scorer counting towards the team point total which determines the team champion. The event begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday and will be streamed live with SLIAC broadcasting partner
College Casts.
Blackburn College completed the program's first full season this year, participating in nine events. The Beavers totaled 35 wins this season with 285-pounder Remington Hiser recording 11 of the wins. Hiser is also among the league leaders in pins, with 10.

Eureka College is hoping that their home mats bring them success in this year's championship. The Red Devils finished 2nd the last time they hosted the championships and were 3rd last season. They put up 88 wins this season and were led by 149-pounder Billy Tucker with 14 wins.

Huntingdon College will be competing as a member of the SLIAC for the first time this year. In its first season of competition with the league they totaled 200 individual wins with three wrestlers topping 20 wins. Damion Jones and Kevin Shaw III are tied for the team lead with 22 wins each while heavyweight Steven Flagg has a team best .714 winning percentage.

Lyon College will be led by Eli Lupton. A two-time All-Conference wrestler, Lupton recorded six wins this season at 197-pounds. Ty Ferguson, 125-pounds, is tied for the team lead in wins with Lupton.

This marks the first conference championship appearance for McMurry since joining the SLIAC. They competed in 12 events during the program's first season, recording 12 individual wins. Tyler Gardner, Aaron Michaels, Thomas Olivarez, and Ruben Perez all picked up two wins apiece this winter.

The two-time defending SLIAC Champion, the University of the Ozarks comes in with a .440 winning percentage. Shelton Chastain leads the team with 25 wins while last year's Freshman of the Year, Javin Douglas is just behind with 22 wins. Ka'Ron Lewis has been regionally ranked all season and enters with a 15-4 record this season.

It has been a busy season for Schreiner University, wrestling in 17 events. The Mountaineers totaled 109 wins during competition with Jayden Bustillos pacing the team. The 149-pounder has 21 wins this fall. Ashton Keller has a team best .783 winning percentage and 13 pins while Jose Salinas Nava is second on the team with 19 wins.

Senior Michael Roberts leads Westminster College into the weekend. The 165-pounder is a two-time All-Conference performer and totaled 13 wins this fall, including 12 by pin. Isaac Gawronski has a 9-6 record this season with Drake Schmit recording five wins.
