Greenville University becomes just the second institution in SLIAC history to repeat as the All-Sports Champion. Greenville won the school's first ever title last year, becoming just the fifth different school to win the award since it was first handed out in 1999.
This year Greenville finished with an average score of 9.15 over its 13 conference sports. The Panthers had first-place finishes in 11 sports, totaling 119 points.
Webster University finished second with 7.39 points. Their best finish this year was a first-place finish in baseball and women's basketball, while adding another nine points in women's soccer, men's indoor track and field, and men's outdoor track and field.
Coming in third place was Spalding University with a 7.27 average. Spalding tied for first-place in softball and men's basketball while finishing second in women's cross country. They also had the highest finish among core SLIAC schools in women's golf, giving them 10 more points.
Lyon College was next with 6.59 points. The only school in the conference to field a team in all 17 conference sponsored sports, the Scots totaled 112 points this year. Their best finish was in men's soccer, tying for first-place. They were also the second highest scoring core SLIAC member in women's golf, women's wrestling, and men's golf.
Next up is Principia College with 6.21 points. The Panthers had second place finishes in men's cross country, women's indoor track and field, and women's outdoor track and field. Principia had the largest jump of any school in the SLIAC, adding 1.63 points from last season.
Westminster College averaged 5.34 points over its 16 spots. The Blue Jays tied for first-place in women's basketball and were the highest scoring core SLIAC school in men's wrestling while finishing second in volleyball.
MUW was seventh at 5.20 points. The Owls picked up 10 points in men's golf as the highest scoring core member and tied for second place in baseball.
Eureka College averaged 4.47 points. Their best showing was in women's wrestling, where they picked up 10 points. They also had a strong finish in women's basketball, adding another 7.5 points.
Fontbonne University concluded the year at 4.23 points per sport. The Griffins most points came from volleyball and women's wrestling, where they picked up 8 points each.
Blackburn College averaged 3.37 points this year. The Beavers highest scoring sport this year was women's golf, picking up 8 points while men's wrestling gave them another 6 points and softball added 5.5 points. Blackburn had the second highest jump in average from last year, picking up 1.34 points.
