Greenville Claims Third Consecutive All-Sports Award

Greenville University extended its reign with its third consecutive SLIAC All-Sports Trophy. Greenville is just the second school to win multiple All-Sports Trophies. The All-Sports Trophy recognizes the school with the most success during the academic year across all conference sponsored championship sports. 

Greenville finished with an average score of 7.64 points. Panther athletics claimed 10 conference titles this season including sweeping indoor and outdoor track and field while winning the institution's first-ever outright regular season title in softball. Greenville totaled 107 points over their 14 sports. 

Webster University was 2nd in the standings with a score of 6.61 points. The Gorloks attempt to overtake Greenville fell just short. After closing the gap during the winter to 1.5 points from the fall the season, Webster made a charge in the spring but fell 1.03 points short of reclaiming the trophy. The Gorloks had a strong spring with a first-place finish in baseball and tying for second in softball while also adding a second-place finish in men's outdoor track and field. 

MUW had their best finish in the standings since joining the conference, placing 3rd with 5.67 points.The Owls totaled 85 points over their 15 conference sports with its most points coming from men's golf. The Owls finished in the top half of the league in all five spring sports with its lowest finish being fourth-place in baseball. 

Lyon College was 4th with 5.50 points. The Scots were just one of three schools to compete in all 17 conference sports and finished with 93.5 total points. A third-place finish in baseball gave the Scots 7 points while the men's golf team picked up 8 points by being the second highest finishing core member at its championship.

Spalding University made the league's biggest jump from the winter standings, moving from 7th to 5th place. They finished the year with 5.30 points, adding nearly a half point during the spring season. The Golden Eagles were paced by its baseball team, which finished second, and softball team, which finished tied for second. 

Principia College closed the year with 5.25 points, recording 63 points over its 12 conference sports. Principia's best showing was in women's outdoor track and field, placing second. 

Westminster College placed 7th with 4.79 points. The Blue Jays picked up 5 points each from men's golf and baseball with another 4.5 points from its softball program. 

Blackburn College was 8th with 3.53 points, collecting 56.5 points over its 16 conference sports. The Beavers scored 4.5 points in softball and another 4 points in both men's golf and men's outdoor track and field.

Eureka College finished with an average score of 3.26 points. The Red Devils men's outdoor track and field, baseball, and softball teams all finished with a department best 3 points this spring.
