The semifinals for the 2025 SLIAC Men's Soccer Tournament are set with Lyon College and Principia College advancing after the quarterfinal round on Saturday. The semifinals will be played on Thursday, November 6 in Greenville, Illinois. Both games will be broadcast by SLIAC streaming partner College Casts.
#3 Lyon College defeats #6 Eureka College, 3-1 BOX SCORE
- All scoring in the game took place in the second-half
- Joao Barros put the Scots on the board in the 47th minute
- Tiago Donadon had the game-winner in the 64th minute, extending the score to 2-0
- Landon Porch had the lone goal for Eureka, coming in the 88th minute
- Lyon out shot Eureka 19-6 in the game
- This is Lyon's first tournament win since joining the SLIAC
#5 Principia College ties #4 Westminster College, 0-0 (PC advances 4-2 on PK) BOX SCORE
- Principia out shot Westminster 13-11 in the game
- Edgar Cartagena made four saves for Principia
- Westminster's Hunter Deeken stopped all five shots he faced
- The two team's were even at 2-2 after the first two rounds of penalty kicks
- Cartagena made back-to-back stops for Principia to put the Panthers ahead
- Sebastian Castro netted the winner on the Panthers 4th attempt
- This is the second straight year Principia has advanced to the the semifinals via penalty kicks
