The Westminster College volleyball team closed out their west coast trip with a pair of wins including a 3-1 victory over #6 University of La Verne.

After dropping the first set of the match the Blue Jays rolled off three straight set wins; winning 25-23, 25-21, and 25-21. The Blue Jays hit .146 in the match, finishing with 42 kills. They added 8 blocks and recorded 9 aces. Mackenzie Sansone led Westminster with 14 kills while Erica Vogel chipped in 12. Landrey VanOverschelde finished with 32 assists while Haylie Schnake had 23 digs. 

La Verne was 30-3 overall last season, making a run to the national championship match and finishing as runner-up. The loss was the Leopards first of the season and currently sit at 2-1 on the season. Westminster is 3-2 on the season and returns to the court this weekend with four matches in De Pere, Wisconsin.
