Webster University found itself back at the top of SLIAC Women's Soccer, winning the 2026 Tournament Championship game 1-0 over Spalding University. The title is the Gorloks 11th in program history but their first since 2019.

This was the third time the program appeared in the championship game with a chance to win the title but the first time they entered as the tournament's top overall seed. The Gorloks went 7-0-1 in conference play during the regular season to earn the all important hosting rights to the tournament.

Webster and Spalding played to a 1-1 draw during the regular season and Saturday's contest was just as evenly played. Spalding turned up the heat late in the first-half, pressuring the Gorloks with 13 shots in the first 45 minutes. However, the Gorlok defense did not allow many shots from inside box as Spalding put just 3 of those 13 shots on goal.

The Webster offense kept attacking the outside and their plan finally paid off mid-way through the second-half. The Gorloks worked the ball down the right side of the field with quick connecting passes when Sofia Bosnos made her move, turning the corner around a Golden Eagle defender and playing the ball to a streaking Malaya Blakely. Blakely tapped the ball past the keeper to get the Gorloks on the board.

For Blakely it was her 7th straight game with a goal, totaling 12 goals in that span; including a four goal performance in Thursday's semi-final contest. Blakely was named the SLIAC Tournament MVP and joined by teammates Sofia Bosnos and Carmen Williams on the All-Tournament team. Webster secured the conference's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Spalding was represented on the All-Tournament team by Alyssa Ochsner and Trinity Bauwens. Also making the All-Tournament team were Shelbie Hall-Wright (Blackburn College), Idaly Valenzuela (Greenville University), Mafe Quintero (Principia College), and Shea Nortrup (Westminster College).
