Spalding University's Zaneiya Batiste now has the triple crown of women's basketball rebounding records for the SLIAC. The senior is the conference's leader in single-game, single season, and most recently the career rebounding leader.
The forward recently grabbed her 1,000th career rebound, becoming just the second player in SLIAC history to reach that mark. In that game, against Transylvania University on December 30, 2025, Batiste set the career mark when she grabbed career rebound number 1,004; breaking the mark set by Cristina Speer of Principia College (2005-09). Batiste finished the game with 18 rebounds and now sits at 1,055 career rebounds.
Batiste set the SLIAC single-season rebound mark last season, grabbing 405 rebounds; averaging 15.6 per game. She broke the single-game rebound record earlier this season on November 15, 2025 against Anderson University when she totaled 32 rebounds, breaking the previous mark of 29 set by Susan Fisher of Greenville in 1996. Batiste holds four of the top seven single-game rebounding performances in conference history.
Batiste is currently averaging 16.6 rebounds per game this season, ranking 4th in NCAA Division III, to go along with her 12.8 points per game. Her current career average of 12.3 rebounds per game puts her 4th on the NCAA Division III active list while her 1,055 rebounds ranks her 7th on the active list.
