Year in Review - RECORD BOOK
Webster University hoisted the SLIAC Baseball Championship for the 13th time in program history, returning as champs for the first time since 2022. The Gorloks were the front runners all season long, going 17-1 during conference play, marking the fewest conference losses in a season since 2013.
Ryan Greifelt anchored the Gorloks pitching staff, leading the league with 11 wins, 87 innings pitched, and 84 strikeouts while recording a 2.90 earned-run average.
Ethan Tuttle wraps up his career with Spalding University as one of the top hitters in conference history. Tuttle was named the Player of the Year after hitting .497 and 29 stolen bases. Tuttle's average was the 3rd highest in a single season while he set a new conference record with 89 hits and 75 runs scored. He finishes 3rd in career batting average (.410), 2nd in hits (275), 2nd in runs scored (208), tied for 3rd in doubles (59), 1st in triples (19), and 4th in stolen bases (76). His teammate Hunter Strong also finishes his career ranked in the top ten in several categories including hits, runs batted in, home runs, doubles, and total bases as does Jacob Spanyer in career RBI, doubles, total bases, and walks.
Webster's R.J. LaRocco also reached the top ten list in career hits with 231, doubles, and total bases with Evan Evola ranking 4th in career runs scored, 5th in career doubles, and 3rd in total bases. Joel Arsenault finished his career with 16 saves, 4th most in SLIAC history.
Eureka College's Conor Fitzpatrick becomes the first Red Devil in program history to win a major individual award, being named the Freshman of the Year.
Another notable moment came in the NCAA regional where Webster's Karl Peters hit three home runs in a game against MSOE.
Five players earned All-America honors: Landon Clark (MUW), Ethan Tuttle (Spalding), Hunter Strong (Spalding), Joel Arsenault (Webster), and Ryan Greifelt (Webster).
