NABC Honors SLIAC Teams and Players

 The NABC has announced the recipients of the 2024-25 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court, representing achievement in the classroom by men’s college basketball teams and individual players.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men’s basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

The NABC’s academic awards are presented annually to teams and athletes from all levels of college basketball.

Mississippi University for Women was the lone program from the SLIAC to receive the Team Academic Excellence Award. The Owls also led the league with seven players earning Honors Court. Owls receiving recognition were Cam Smith, Dariun Doss, Eric Bass Jr., Isaiah Ball, Jackson Reid, Josh Dukes, and Trent Walker. 

Eureka College was represented by Ben Carter, Jacob Gonzalez, Jalen Johnson, Joel Ewald, Nick Harris Huntley, and Sam DeJesus. 

Webster University had four players earn honors: Allen Grahovic, Alpha Diallo, Gabe McCrary, and Josh Luster. 

The NABC's academic awards are presented annually to teams and athletes from all levels of college basketball. Overall, more than 2,400 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court, and 388 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2024-25.
