Greenville University took first-place in all five conference sports they competed in this fall to take the lead in the race for the SLIAC All-Sports trophy. Greenville picked up team championships in both men's and women's cross country and added regular season titles in men's soccer, women's soccer, and volleyball. They totaled 45 points in the fall over their five sports giving them a 9.00 average.
Principia College sits in second place with an average score of 6.50. Principia was bolstered by their cross country teams, each of which finished second at the conference championship. The Panther soccer programs both picked up five points each with their fifth place finishes in the standings.
Lyon College is the highest scoring school that sponsored all six conference sports this fall and have an average of 5.75 points. The Scots picked up eight points in women's golf and another seven in women's cross country. The men's soccer team had the best finish in the fall standings, tying for third place.
Webster University comes in at number four with 5.60 points. The Gorloks best fall finish was in men's soccer, coming in second, and added third place finishes in both women's soccer and women's cross country.
Westminster College is in fifth with 5.58 points over their six sports. The Blue Jays volleyball team notched eight points with its second place showing while the women's golf team added seven points.
Spalding University finished the fall in sixth place with a 4.08 average score. A second place finish in women's soccer secured eight points for the Golden Eagles while the men's cross country team added another six points at the conference championship.
MUW is averaging 3.92 points over their six fall sports. The Owls women's golf team accounted for nine of the school's 23.5 points this fall, leading all SLIAC schools at the championship. They picked up another six points from the volleyball team with its third place tie in the standings.
Blackburn College is currently in eighth place with an average score of 3.75. The Beavers best team finish this fall was in volleyball, where they tied for third place. The women's golf team also grabbed six points from their championship.
Eureka College wraps up the scoring with a 3.24 average. The women's golf team and men's cross country program led the way for the school, with each picking up five points.
The All-Sports Trophy, first awarded in 1999, recognizes the school with the most success during the academic year across all conference sponsored championship sports. The score is based on an average of each team's finish based on the regular season standings or, in team sports, their finish at the conference tournament.
