For just the third time in conference history one school will have teammates taking home both Player of the Year awards. Greenville University's Abby Grohmann and Claudia Bonacorsi become the latest duo to achieve the feat and the first since the 2004 season. Two other times in conference history programs took home both awards in the same season but one player was the recipient of each award.
Grohmann becomes the 8th Panther to win the SLIAC Volleyball Player of the Year award, setting a new conference record that was shared with three other schools. Grohmann averaged 3.36 kills per set during conference play, totaling 158 kills and 181.5 points. She hit .240 against conference opponents while adding 119 digs, 16 blocks, and 15 aces. The junior outside hitter led the league in kills per set and points
Bonacorsi was chosen as the SLIAC Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the 6th Panther in program history to win the award. The sophomore libero finished with 184 digs in conference play, averaging 3.83 per set. She ranked third in the league in digs.
Rylea Black is the first player from Blackburn College to win the Freshman of the Year award. The freshman from Saint Clair, Missouri tied for the team lead this season with 124 kills and led the Beavers with 150 points. She hit .276 in conference play and totaled 38 blocks. Black ranked 7th in the SLIAC in hitting percentage and 9th in blocks.
The 2025 SLIAC Coach of the Year is Dalton Tucker, from Westminster College. Tucker is the first coach in conference history to win the award three consecutive seasons. This year he led the Blue Jays to a 12-2 conference record, going 27-7 overall. Their 27 wins are tied for the most in program history as well as the conference record for overall wins in a season; along with the 1996 Westminster and 2009 Spalding teams. The Blue Jays currently rank among NCAA Division III leaders in kills, assists, aces, and digs this season. This marks the fourth time overall in his career he has won the award.
This year's Team Sportsmanship award goes to Mississippi University for Women. This is the third season the Owls have competed in the SLIAC and the first time the program has received the award.
