Greenville Announces Athletics Staff Changes

The Greenville University athletic department announced a series of changes in the department, beginning on June 1, 2024. 

Tom Ackerman, who served as the Director of Athletics for the last seven years, and as the Panthers women's volleyball coach for 22 years; will move into the role of Vice President for Athletics while maintaining his coaching responsibilities. 

B.J. Schneck, who has been with the school for 23 years, will move from the school's Director of Athletic Operations and Communication to its new Director of Athletics. Assisting Schneck as the Associate Director of Athletics will be Stephanie Brant, Greenville's Spirit Program Director. Rob Clark will assume a new role as Assistant Director of Athletics for Marketing and Engagement after two years on campus.

Filling in as the departments new Director of Athletic Operations and Communication will be alum Desirae Yost. Yost is a 2023 graduate of Greenville University and will serve as a liaison between the athletics department, its conferences, and national governing bodies and oversee media relations and game management for all Panther Athletics sports. She will manage the athletics website, greenvillepanthers.com, and produce regular content to enhance the brand and promote student-athletes and coaches. She previously served as a liaison between athletics and the admissions office at Greenville University.
