    Webster's Kyle Urich became the second Gorlok on the 2017 baseball squad to land a professional contract when he signed with the Gateway Grizzlies of the independent Frontier League. Uhrich (St. Louis, MO/Webster Groves HS) had a stellar season on the mound for Webster, being named an ABCA/Rawlings All-America and d3baseball.com All-American.
  • Webster's Fleming Taken in 5th Round of MLB Draft

    Webster University pitcher Josh Fleming, 21, is in rarified air. The left-handed fire baller had his name called in the fifth round of the Major League Baseball draft, when he was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays on June 13. Fleming was the 139th pick overall in the draft.

  • Pair of Golden Eagles Earn CoSIDA Academic All-America Honors

    Spalding University baseball players Jimi Keating and Kyle Olliges have been named to the prestigious CoSIDA Academic All-America Baseball Team. Keating and Olliges become only the second and third Golden Eagles to receive the award and baseball becomes the first team in school history to have multiple players make the team in the same season. Spalding was one of five schools in NCAA Division III with multiple athletes on the All-American team.

    Josh Fleming, Jimi Keating, Travis Ralls, and Kyle Uhrich were all named to the 2017 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Baseball All-America Team. The quartet sets a new high for St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference players on the ABCA/Rawlings All-America team, surpassing the previous mark of three in the 2013 season.
  • Fleming Top Pitcher In D3; Two More Named To All-America Team

    Webster University pitcher Josh Fleming was named the top pitcher in all of NCAA Division III, also picking up First Team All-America honors, while two more players (Jimi Keating, Spalding and Kyle Uhrich, Webster) were also named to the 2017 All-America team.

    The Webster University baseball team saw its season end as it was eliminated from the NCAA III Central Regional with a 6-4 loss to Birmingham Southern College, on May 19 at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, IL. The Gorloks, hosting the Regional, battled throughout the contest with the Panthers but a couple late runs by Southern scooted them by Webster.

    Kim "Hoss" Johnson has resigned as Eureka College baseball head coach, effective immediately, EC Director of Athletics Steve Thompson announced Wednesday. Johnson, who cited health concerns as the reason for his resignation, was in his fourth season as head coach of the Red Devils.

    The #26 Webster University baseball team downed the #16 Washington University Bears, 5-3, on April 12 at GCS Ballpark. In what was a see-saw battle early, a three-run fourth inning and stout relief pitching by Brandon Smith and Johnny Lord carried the Gorloks to their seventh straight win.

  • Panthers Sweep Eureka In SLIAC Game of the Week

    The Panthers traveled to Ronald Reagan's alma mater to play two games against the Eureka Red Devils this afternoon. The Panthers came out with the most energy they've had all season and it resulted in two wins. The Panthers received outstanding pitching performances from Hunter Mehring in game one and Alex Stamos in game two. The Panthers defeated the Red Devils 8-1 in both contests and improved to 13-6 overall and 4-1 in the SLIAC.
