  • Webster's Uhrich Named NCAA Division III Home Run Leader

    Webster University baseball player, Kyle Uhrich, has been declared the 2014-15 NCAA Division III statistical champion for Total Home Runs. Uhrich belted 17 round-trippers in 2015, setting a single season record for Webster.
  • Webster's Kurich Named ABCA Central Region Coach of the Year

    Webster University head baseball coach Bill Kurich has been named the ABCA/Diamond Sports Central Region Coach of the Year for 2015. This is the fourth selection for Kurich, and the third time in four years he has earned Central Region Coach of the Year honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

    A total of 170 student-athletes received All-Academic Team honors for the spring season as awarded by the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
  • Baseball Gorloks Wind Up #8 In Final Poll

    The Webster University baseball team wound up ranked #8 nationally in the ABCA/Collegiate Baseball NCAA III final poll for 2015. The Gorloks (34-15) jumped from #24 in the final regular season poll to #8 on the backs of their Central Regional Championship and their third World Series appearance in four years.

    For the second straight day, a big inning by the opposing team doomed the Gorloks, as the Webster University baseball team lost to Ramapo College (NJ), 14-2, on May 23, in Appleton, WI. The loss ousts Webster from the 2015 NCAA III Championships 'World Series'.
  • Principa Welcomes Marston as New Baseball Head Coach

    The Principia College athletic department is proud to announce that Chris Marston has been appointed as the new head baseball coach. Principia held a nation-wide search over the course of a year, while the baseball team had interim coaches during the season.
  • Twice As Nice For Webster's Uhrich, ABCA & D3baseball All-American

    Kyle Uhrich, first baseman for the Webster University baseball team, was a named to both the ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com All-American teams for 2015. Uhrich earned Second Team honors by the ABCA and was honorable mention by D3baseball.com.
  • ABCA All-Region Team Features Eight from SLIAC

    The ABCA, in partnership with Rawlings, announced their 2015 NCAA Division III All-Region teams this week. A total of nine players from the SLIAC earned All-Region honors by the organization.

    Seven St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference baseball players earned D3baseball.com All-Region honors for the standout seasons. The seven include Tyler Branneky, Josh Fleming, Jeff Kammer, Matt Mokriakow, Ryan Mosby, Will Miller, and Kyle Uhrich.
  • Gorloks Going to Show, Win Regional Championship

    The #24 ranked Webster University baseball team won the NCAA III Waterloo Regional with a 5-1 win over Carthage College (WI) on May 17 in Waterloo, IA. The Gorloks advance to their third NCAA III Championship 'World Series' in five years. Starter C. J. Lee got the win on the mound and Dylan Rajkovich provided the offense with a three-run homer.
  • Gorloks Making Memories In Regionals

    Head coach Bill Kurich had a memorable career 300th win, as the #24 ranked Webster University baseball team advanced to the NCAA III Waterloo Regional championship with a 4-2 win over #8 ranked Wisconsin-Stevens Point in Waterloo, IA, on May 16. The Gorloks will face Carthage College (WI) for the championship at 12 noon on May 17.
  • Historic Season Comes to End for Panthers

    The Greenville College baseball team was defeated 10-2 by Carthage on Friday in a game that was completed following a suspension of Thursday's action. The loss brought the conclusion to the Panthers' historic season.
  • Four Tigers Earn USCAA Honors

    The USCAA has released the 2015 Baseball All-American and All-Academic award winners. Iowa Wesleyan had two players selected to each team. The National All-Academic team criteria requires a student-athlete to have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or better and must have passed at least 24 credit hours at the institution.

    For the first time in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference baseball history, two teams have been selected to participate in the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship; Greenville College and Webster University.

    The Greenville College baseball team fought off not only their opponent, Westminster College, but a rain filled weekend in capturing the program's first ever St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament title.

    Tyler Branneky, Ryan Mosby, and Josh Fleming took home top individual honors this year as awarded by the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference coaches. In addition 2015 SLIAC Co-Coach of the Year goes to Justin Fuhler of MacMurray College and Bill Kurich of Webster University.
  • Multiple Griffins Selected To Capital One Academic All-District Teams

    The 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-District Baseball and Softball teams were announced today. Teams were selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), recognizing student-athletes for both their academic and athletic performances. The Academic All-District teams are divided into eight districts that recognize the NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III.

Kammer, a third baseman for the Gorlok baseball team, has been named a National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) national Player of the Week.

    Jeff Kammer, third baseman for the Webster University baseball team, has earned his second d3baseball.com Player of the Week award this spring for his performance from April 20-26. Kammer, a senior from Chesterfield, Mo. helped the Gorloks to a 3-1 record and a return to the national top 25 polls.
