SLIAC Comes Together For Hurricane Relief (September 14, 2017)
Several schools from across the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference came together and joined the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Over the last two weeks schools including Fontbonne University, Greenville University, Iowa Wesleyan University, MacMurray College, Spalding University, and Webster University held clothing and food drives on their campuses to send to Houston, Texas and the surrounding communities.....MORE

SLIAC Players of the Week (September 18, 2017)
Three schools, Fontbonne University, Greenville University, and Spalding University, place multiple award winners on this week's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Players of the Week awards. Winners this week are Ali Bumblis, from Spalding University; Caleb Carpenter, from Greenville University; Jacob Dixon, from Fontbonne University, Mia Gill, from Principia College, Katie Gosser, from Fontbonne University; Finn Kola, from Spalding University; Allyson Mitchell, from Greenville University; and Meredith Wendt, from Fontbonne University......MORE

AROUND THE SLIAC

Blackburn College

The Beavers volleyball team recorded a split at this past weekend's quad at Greenville. Blackburn fell to host Greenville 3-0 but followed with a sweep of Iowa Wesleyan. The win was the Beavers 4th overall and their 2nd in SLIAC play this season. The four wins tie them with the 2015 season for the most since 2008. 

Eureka College

The Eureka volleyball team swept the Iowa Wesleyan Tigers on Tuesday night 25-11, 25-12, and 25-9 to even their conference record to 3-3 on the season. The Red Devils hit a season-high .349 in the match with Anna Crank leading the way with 12 kills. 

Fontbonne University

Jacob Dixon and Katie Gosser swept SLIAC Cross Country Players of the Week honors. Dixon, competing in his first ever 8k race, finished 18th among Non-Division I runners at the National Catholic Invite with a time of 31:40. Gosser meanwhile set a personal best time in her 5k race with a mark of 19:57, finishing 21st among Non-Division I runners.

Greenville University

The Greenville men's soccer team won their second straight game with a 1-0 win over Illinois College on Tuesday. The lone goal of the game came off the foot of Jonathan Moyo. Nick Holland recorded six saves in the shutout win. Greenville is now 4-3 on the season and continues a three-game road trip with games at Illinois Wesleyan and Washington-St. Louis.

Iowa Wesleyan University

The Tigers men's soccer team won their second straight game with a 4-1 win over Rockford. This marks the first time since joining the SLIAC the Tigers have recorded back to back victories. Iowa Wesleyan is now 3-2-1 overall this season and looks to continue their winning streak with a game against Central on Wednesday afternoon.

MacMurray College

The MacMurray volleyball team finished 2-2 at the Knox Tournament this past weekend with wins over Alverno and Rockford. Olivia Wall led the way against Alverno with 18 kills while Niah Bevolo added 26 assists. Olivia Wall finished with 63 total kills on the weekend and earned All-Tournament honors.

Principia College

The Principia volleyball team is the first team to reach double-digit wins in the SLIAC this season, improving to 10-2 overall after their thrilling five-set win over Westminster on Tuesday. The Panthers won the first two games before Westminster battled back and forced a fifth set. Principia has won three straight and will host St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Saturday before returning to conference play next week.

Spalding University

The Golden Eagles men's soccer team mounted an exciting come from behind win over Franklin on Tuesday, winning 5-3. After trailing 2-1 at halftime, Spalding netted four second-half goals to improve to 3-3 overall this season. Trustun Ashburn, Tenko Kono, Kornell Hilliard, Jacob Teasley, and Mirza Ugarak all tallied scores for Spalding. 

Webster University

The Webster women's soccer team rolled to their 6th straight win on Sunday with a 2-1 victory over Hendrix. The Gorloks are off to the program's best start since 2007, when they opened the season with eight straight wins. Webster is ranked #8 in the latest region rankings and will host Rose-Hulman on Wednesday night. 

Westminster College

The Westminster women's soccer team had their three-game winning streak snapped in a 4-2 loss to Central last weekend. The Blue Jays will look to get back on track this weekend as they play their final two non-conference games of the season. Westminster is on the road against Franklin on Friday and Rose-Hulman on Sunday.
